The PhD course in “Health, safety and green systems” is based in the District of Imola of the University of Bologna.
Imola is located in the Metropolitan area of Bologna, and is well connected to the city of Bologna and to the major cities of the Emilia-Romagna Region through public transports.
Since 1997, when the first course of the University of Bologna was activated in the city of Imola, the number of degree programs and post-lauream courses has been growing: today the District of Imola of the University of Bologna hosts seven degree programs in the agricultural, pharmaceutical and medical domains - focused on environmental sustainability, plants and health, safety, quality and healthiness of living and working environment, environmental toxicology, health protection and care - as well as many vocational courses and professional masters from various disciplinary fields, for a total of more than 250 professors and 900 students involved.
Since 2018, the District of Imola of the University of Bologna also hosts the PhD course in “Health, safety and green systems”.
Each year conferences, seminars and other initiative are held in the district of Imola, also in collaboration with various public and private institutions.
The PhD course in “Health, safety and green systems” involves training and research skills and laboratory structures of the various departments involved, as well as the University laboratory resources located in the Imola district.
Other laboratory resources are available through agreements with local bodies and organizations that are collaborating with the University of Bologna for training courses, research and experiments.
