The DISTAL has two libraries and documentary services providing support for studies, teaching, research and professional activities.
The "Gabriele Goidanich" Library is located in Bologna and it provides computers for student use, and Wi-Fi connection. The Central Library offers over 113,000 books and print journal collection of over 6,400 titles (327 currently subscribed). Other collections of theses, ancient books and audiovisuals are available.
The Food Science section of the Central Library "Leon Battista Alberti" is located in Cesena and it provides computers for student use, and Wi-Fi connection. It has a collection of over 3,700 books for study and research, relative to the fields that are the subject of the Degree Programmes located in the DISTAL sites in the Cesena campus.
The staff of both Libraries holds courses on Information literacy during the year, with the aim of assisting users in the use of library resources. Further information and copies of the Library guide are available from the help desk. Reference, photocopying facilities, document delivery and inter-library loan services are available. Other services include access to electronic databases and online searching.

The Library System is the section of the University in charge of coordinating the libraries, the collections of literary materials and bibliographic and documental services.
EZproxy
This service allows you to access electronic resources with restricted access (databases, periodicals and electronic books, etc.) from home or from any location outside the University network.
